Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish. This meme was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists! Each week we will post a new Top Ten list complete with one of our bloggers’ answers. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND fill out Mr. Linky . If you can't come up with ten, don't worry about it---post as many as you can!

So this week it's the TOP TEN BOOKS YOU WANT TO SEE MADE INTO MOVIES!!
1. To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee: I know there is already a movie about the book, but I'd love a new release on it, with some of our great young actors in it, also no taking out any parts of the book.

2. Oryx and Crake - Margaret Atwood: I really had these wonderful pictures in my mind about this book when I read it and I'd love to see it being made into a movie, with all the trimmings added.

3. The Year of the Flood - Margaret Atwood: Obviously if you have the one you're going to have to have the other. Yet again, pictures in my mind that I'd like to see on screen.

4. The Womens Murder Club Series - James Patterson: Ok so maybe not a whole series of movies, but deffinitely with the main characters featuring. I know there was a TV series about it but yet again I'd love to see a modern remake of it, and this time a movie.

5. The Book Thief - Markus Zusak: I think I saw this on some other list and it will make such an amazing story! When I first picked up the book I didnt think much of it, but then I got into it and just wanted to read more and more, and I really think a movie would do the same!

6. The Hobbit - JRR Tolkien: Even before they said they were making this into a movie I wanted to see it as a movie, so I'm really glad they decided to do it!

7. Blue Bloods series - Melissa de la Cruz: I think it would put a nice twist on the vampire stories that we know. There are some great graphics in the book that would make for a great movie.

8. The Black Dagger Brotherhood - JR Ward: Oh my goodness, it would make such a great movie! The books get really graphic sometimes and that would be awesome to see on screen!!

9. Geralds Game - Stephen King: I was so scared when reading this book, if a movie lives up to the book it would make a great horror.

10. Gods Behaving Badly - Marie Phillips: I really and truelly love greek gods, and this book gives such a different perspective on them, I think it would make a great movie
Tell me what are some of your favorites you'd like to see as movies?

The Womens Murder Club and BDB I was going to put down , Blue Bloods would be another great one. It would be like Vampire Diaries meets Gossip Girl. O.F www.thephantomparagrapher.blogspot.com

And I love how they are fallen angels and stuff, makes the plot a little different too

The BDB would be interesting... that could almost border on porn, lol. Or they'd have to cut a LOT of scenes out!

The Book Thief is on my reader. I really need to get to it.

1girl2manybooks, I TOTALLY agree :)
The age restriction on those books would be R18!

Alexis, the Book Thief is amazing!

They actually had a series based off the Womens Murder Club, but it didn't last too long. I think it would make a great TV series too. I'd also love to see The Book Thief as a movie.

So true about To Kill A Mockingbird. It's time for a remake!

Hey Deb! I'd love to see more of Atwoods books become movies

Trish, I know right? With a bit more updated cast and crue... I think it would be brilliant!
