The Book Ferret # 2

Book Ferret # 2

The Book Ferret is a weekly feature on Violin in a Void that will showcase a cool or interesting book-related find every Thursday. If you want to join in, grab the Ferret pic at the top of the page, link it and your post back here, and add your name to the Linky list.

This can be new bookstores, new book releases, a new author you love, websites for downloads, websites with audio to download, your newest e-reader, anything! So go ahead and join the fun, plus the picture of this meme is soooo darn cute you'll just want to join.

So this week I chose to showcase this website that a friend of mine introduced me to:

Blackhills Doll Designs

I love Tudor History and Royal History, well History all in all... so this site was rather interesting because it has dolls from some great times in history.

So how does this relate to books? Well it's a bit of a turn I'm taking but I read a lot of Tudor books (most written by Phillipa Gregory) and I love seeing memrobelia from books...

So hear are some of my favorite ones:

Lady Jane Grey, the 9 day Queen.

Queen Catherine of Aragon, HEnry VIII first wife (and also the wife he had the longest)

Queen Mary Tudor, the first Queen of England, nicknamed Bloody Mary, daughter of Catherine of Aragon and Henry VIII

And here's another site with some rather peculiar dolls on: Headless Historicals

What do you think of the dolls? Do you have any fun sites with fun memrobelia?
Comments are more than welcome, and remember to link yourself to Lauren with the Linky Tool.

Eek! - dolls creep me out! I blame the Child's Play movies - I saw one when I was way too young to be watching that stuff.
The headless ones are particularly chilling.

Thanks for Book Ferreting though Niecole! Don't forget to add your name to the linky so you'll be on the blog hop :)
