Stuck in a rut

I NEED YOUR HELP!

Hi there my dear blogger friends.

I haven't written something personal in a while, but I thought I'd do that now, seeing as I really need your help!

For a while now I've been stuck in this "I can't and don't want to read anything" rut, and it's really annoying me! I love to read, I really really do, but I just can't get myself as far as to pick up a book and read it, it's as if I tell myself before hand that I wont like it, even though I've been wanting to read the book for a while!

So I need your help everyone, any suggestions of how to get out of this rut?
Any great books you'd like to recommend to me? I'd really appreciate it, something light and easy... or you could even entice me with little bits of spoilers from great books, I usually want to read them then...

I find that reading quotes often helps. And then perhaps you can choose a quote you really like and read the book it comes from?
(This just reminded me that Lu asked me to make a reading challenge for this; will do so in a mo).

I can't think of any other reads that I haven't already suggested in our group, but otherwise how about re-reading a book you really enjoy Perhaps something adventurous?

Alternatively, you could just spend the time on something else - you don't always have to be reading, and the urge will come back eventually :)

Thanks for the advice Lauren. :)
I must say that I did get into the Magicians Nephew, but then just gave up again...

Maybe your right, and I have to get on doing some other stuff. :)

Also, its so hot here where I live that I'm irritated by the heat and then I just cant sit still and read...
