Haha! I love this quote. For a very long time, I agreed with this quote. But later I realized that my dislike for classics, for the most part, derived from maturity. I was picking up some of these books in the 6th grade or even younger.

While I haven't come to love (or even like) all of them, I have come to fall in love with some that I had previously thrown down in disgust. I think I just understand the themes better.

I totally have to agree with you here...
I think that when we're younger sometimes classics also get forced onto us...

I recently learned to like some of them (but really only some) but now I dont feel bad when I dont enjoy the others :)
